Field Notes of Revamping a Project

Design

It used to be one column layout. But I realize that one column is for focus on each post. But people get here for quickly finding certain post, so I switched to mansory layout.

The search bar was original a show-off widget. Back in 2022 when I was building. So I revertd them to a common but familar pattern.

Date

A major mistake is I stored the display name of each twitter: so an "21h ago" twitter will always be 21h ago in the list.

Icon

The original icon is sematic while ugly: restore your home page of twitter. The revamped one kept the twitter bird home element but made some offset.
